’New Dimensions of you’

A newly found love between traditional Saudi instruments and contemporary electronic textures.

It’s the first music piece I’ve done for film that was completely done without click/metronome. This was to follow the natural rhythm of the instrument (Ud) and it’s player (Nawras), creating a more authentic feeling to the track and how these instruments are traditionally played.

Not having any grid was a big challenge, especially since electronic sounds strongly rely on grids and metronomes. But with some extra hours and focus on detail we managed, creating something quite special.
